My Journey of Transformation and Healing

Life suddenly felt incredibly short once my dad passed away, and I realized that I wasn't truly happy. Around the same time, I separated from my husband and left New World Wigram to look after my three daughters. These events served as catalysts for my personal growth journey, propelling me onto a path of self-discovery and healing. My resilience and unwavering commitment to holistic well-being guided me through this transformative period.

The First Year of Transformation

In my first year, I embarked on a multifaceted journey, pursuing education, spirituality, and physical well-being. I completed a Small Business and Project Management course, laying the foundation for my entrepreneurial aspirations. My passion for healing led me to become a Reiki Master, and I deepened my connection to yoga by completing a rigorous 200-hour teacher training program in Vinyasa with Julie Stephens in Nelson. Additionally, I have been practicing Kundalini yoga with Kathy Valler since meeting her at my yoga teacher training. My thirst for growth even took me to the shores, where I proudly became a surf lifesaver at Taylors Mistake.

The Birth of "The Fire Within - Te ahi i roto"

The name "The Fire Within - Te ahi i roto" came to me from a moment of inspiration while sleeping beside the fire in my Wigram home. Upon awakening with the phrase "The Fire Within" vivid in my mind, I undertook research and found that while similar companies existed overseas, none were based in New Zealand. This realization led me to believe that it was the perfect name for my business, as it embodies a multitude of meanings and layers.

A Testament to My Journey

These experiences, shaped by my challenges and fueled by my dedication, have evolved into "The Fire Within." My business is a testament to my journey of empowerment, healing, and resilience. Rooted in the values of freedom, integrity, respect, and empowerment (FIRE), "The Fire Within" is not just a wellness centre; it's a sanctuary where individuals from all walks of life can embark on their transformative journeys, guided by the same inner fire that lit my path.

A New Chapter at Ariki Estate

In December 2022, my path led me to a new chapter as I settled into the vibrant community farm of Ariki Estate in Tauhoa. This lush haven is known for hosting the renowned New Year's Resolution Festival and the NZ Spirit Festival in March, where kindred spirits gather to celebrate and grow together.
